Daniel Radcliffe plays a lawyer who travels to a remote village and discovers the ghost of a scorned woman is terrorizing the locals. He's also stuck living in the house she likes to haunt, while he sorts out the affairs of a dead client. And here's a bit of horror trivia for you:
"The Woman in Black" is produced by Hammer Films. And any true horror fan would know that they helped launch the careers of
Christopher Lee and
Peter Cushing.
"Big Miracle" (PG) (

John Krasinski and
Drew Barrymore work together to save three whales trapped under the ice in the Arctic Circle. It's set in the '80s and based on a true story. He's the reporter who breaks the story, and she's a Greenpeace volunteer who pressures the Russian and American governments to put aside their Cold War differences and act before it's too late.
Kristen Bell and
Ted Danson are also in it.
"Chronicle" (PG-13) (
Trailer) Three high school kids acquire super powers and use their mental abilities for a series of juvenile pranks. But as their powers grow stronger, one of them falls to the dark side. It starts out small, but escalates and turns deadly . . . he rips a spider apart with his mind, crushes a car with his hand, and "accidentally" kills another driver by hurling his truck off the road.
Fox has renewed Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares for a fifth season. Bravo has renewed
Top Chef for a tenth season. Open casting calls for the new edition begin February 21
st.

FX is developing a new comedy created by and starring comedian Dana Gould and executive produced by Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl. The series follows a rock band on the verge of stardom, who are about to break up. They seek professional help in order to stay together, and wind up with a couple's therapist who is on the brink of divorce.
A planned remake of The Munsters is getting a new name. TV Line reports that the show, being developed by Pushing Daisies' Bryan Fuller, will be called Mockingbird Lane, after the street the family lives on.
Lionsgate announced yesterday that The Hunger Games, based on Suzanne Collins' best-selling novels, will be released on IMAX screens. The limited one-week engagement will begin Friday, March 23rd.
Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky is moving forward with his new film Noah, the Biblical story of Noah's Ark, and Deadline.com reports he wants Russell Crowe to play the title role. So far there's no word on whether Crowe is interested in taking the part.
Amy Adams, Carey Mulligan and Samantha Morton are in talks to join Joaquin Phoenix in Spike Jonze's next film. The yet-to-be-titled flick centers on a guy who falls in love with the voice of a computer.
Oscar nominee Gary Oldman is in talks to play the villain in Motor City, which also stars Dominic Cooper and Amber Heard. The revenge thriller follows a small-time hood who is framed and sent to prison, only to seek revenge years later.
Homeland's Damian Lewis will star as Lord Capulet in the latest adaption of Romeo and Juliet, which began filming in Italy last month. The movie stars Hailee Steinfeld as Juliet and Douglas Booth as Romeo. Paul Giamatti, Stellan Skarsgard and Natascha McElhone also star.
Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and
Alan Arkin will star in the action comedy
Stand Up Guys, to be directed by
Fisher Stevens. The film follows two aging criminals, one of whom is hired to kill his friend, as they enjoy one last night of debauchery together.
